Hi, all. Question for any current or former cat owners. Have any of you ever dealt with your cat having hyperthyroidism, more simply put, an overactive thyroid gland? We took our cat to the vet on Friday because she's been excessively hungry, throwing up food frequently, and in general behaving differently. They ran a bunch of blood work, and believe she's got this problem. She has all the symptoms, except weight loss. We're waiting on one last blood test to come back to confirm it. I've been doing some research into the condition and its treatment options, but was curious if anyone had ever dealt with this in their cat. It looks treatable, though nothing I've read so far tells the cost of the various treatments. Thanks for any feedback.
My Grandmother had a kitty like that, Alicia. I don't think her treatment costs were too high.
God Bless!
